Hijabs

The perfect everyday hijab is the one you stop thinking about the moment you put it on. Ours are cut from premium modal and stretch jersey — soft against skin, non-see-through in normal wear, breathable through long days, and generous enough in size to style any way you wear it.

Our color story is what sets Hiabaya apart: a considered Scandinavian palette of stone, sage, mushroom, oat, soft grey and deep neutrals — tones that work with real wardrobes, layer beautifully, and photograph as elegantly in daylight as they look in person. Every color is designed to pair with our abayas and activewear, so your wardrobe builds into a system, not a drawer of near-misses.

Fabric guide: Modal — featherlight, silky drape, cool in summer, easy to wear every day. Premium jersey — structured, grips softly without pins, ideal for active days and effortless styling.

Care is simple: wash cool and let it air dry.

Hijabs by fabric, in a Scandinavian palette

The right hijab is the one you stop thinking about. That starts with fabric: modal hijabs are featherlight and silky, jersey hijabs grip without pins and stay put all day, chiffon hijabs drape formally, and satin hijabs bring evening sheen. Cotton, viscose and silk each have their season — see our cotton hijabs, viscose hijabs and silk hijabs.

Instant, sport and swim

Short on time? Instant hijabs and amira hijabs go on in seconds. For training and water, sport hijabs wick sweat and swim hijabs are chlorine-resistant and quick-dry. Khimars give full, flowing coverage for prayer and everyday wear.

Finish the base

An underscarf keeps everything secure and opaque, and our hijab magnets and pins hold styles without snagging fabric. Every colour is chosen to pair with our abayas and activewear, so your pieces build into a system.

Frequently asked questions

Which hijab fabric doesn't slip?
Jersey and premium modal have natural grip and rarely need pins; chiffon and satin are smoother and are best worn over a grippy underscarf with a magnet or pin.
What size are your hijabs?
Standard rectangular hijabs measure roughly 180 × 70 cm (modal) or 170 × 60 cm (jersey); instant and swim hijabs are one-size pull-on. Exact dimensions are on each product page.
Are your hijabs opaque?
Each product lists its coverage as opaque, semi-sheer or sheer. Jersey, modal and cotton are opaque; chiffon and some viscose styles are semi-sheer and are usually worn with an underscarf.
How should I wash a hijab?
Cool machine wash on a gentle cycle, no tumble drying, air dry flat or hung. Satin and silk are best hand-washed.
