A modest engagement dress that looks like liquid light. This black gown is cut in shimmer satin-chiffon with a soft metallic sheen, a high round neckline and long, slim sleeves in the same fabric. A wide shawl-like drape is attached at one shoulder and wraps diagonally across the bodice in soft gathered folds to the opposite hip, while its long end falls from the shoulder down the back into a train on the floor. Below, a smooth A-line skirt sweeps to the floor. No lace and no beading — the drape and the sheen do all the work.
