Hiabaya began with a simple observation: the modest wear market was full of shops, but short on brands. You could buy a hijab in one place, a burkini in another, training clothes that almost worked from a third — but nowhere could you find a complete wardrobe designed to the same standard, with the same care, in the same design language.
So we built it.
Hiabaya is a Scandinavian modest wear brand for women who move — through workouts and workdays, swimming lessons and holidays, everyday life and its biggest occasions. Our name joins the two garments at the heart of modest fashion — the hijab and the abaya — and our collections extend that heritage into everything modern life asks of it: swimwear made for the water, activewear cut modest from the first stitch, and everyday essentials in soft fabrics chosen to last.
What we believe
- Modesty and performance are not a trade-off. Swimwear in chlorine-resistant, quick-dry fabric and activewear cut loose enough to move in, so modest never means impractical.
- Design is respect. Clean lines, muted tones, considered details. A modest wardrobe deserves the same design attention as any other.
- A wardrobe, not a drawer. Every color and cut is designed to pair with the rest, so your pieces build into a system.
